Yacht mystery solved - Local News - Cairns, QLD, Australia

"THE discovery of a catamaran hull in a remote bay 750km north of Cairns has helped police solve the mystery disappearance of a yacht off New Zealand a year ago.
Silver Raider, a 9m hi-tech catamaran once rated the fastest boat in New Zealand, was competing in a 120 nautical mile race between Auckland and Russell when it capsized in November 2007.
While the crew was saved, no trace of the double-hull vessel was ever found.
That was until recently when a fisherman in Princess Charlotte Bay, about 3000km north of the capsize site, found one of the hulls floating and still bearing the vessel’s name."
