"SYDNEY Harbour's usual inhabitants made way for queen of the seas Wild Oats XI and the cream of Australia's ocean-racing yachts in the SOLAS Big Boat Challenge yesterday.
The Sydney to Hobart sneak preview - two laps around the harbour and then a grand finish off the Opera House - is the only event the maxis race within the harbour, with the proceeds of the day going to the Safety On Land And Sea charity, which was set up after the disaster of the 1998 Sydney-Hobart race."
