Setting sail for Hobart - Access All Areas - Fox Sports
"To sum up last night. The wind was already picking up when I spoke last. We had pretty brisk northerlies coming through and they continued throughout the night, and it only got worse until about 3am or 4am today. I was like a wet and wild water ride that goes on for six or seven hours and it was pretty hairy moving around the boat helping out on the grinders, doing sail trimming and running down stairs for water. Every movement I made was a potential disaster and, quite frankly, without a tether rope last night, we were all pretty lucky to stay on board. They were fairly interesting conditions, and you could tell from skipper David Witt’s expression that he was enjoying it and he was in his element. We were all enjoying it; he was just enjoying it a little bit more."
