Record size alligator

Orlando man's alligator 'bigger than (his) boat': "An Orlando hunter nabbed the largest alligator in Florida history from the St. Johns River on Sunday, state officials said.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed Monday that the alligator was 14 feet, 3.5 inches, besting the state record by almost 3 inches. The 654-pound alligator was taken in Lake Washington in Brevard County. The previous record alligator was taken in 1997 in Lake Monroe, between Volusia and Seminole counties."
